Geoffrey B. Small EV8P06 Handmade Relaxed-Fit Straight Leg Tailored Trouser – LABELS

This super limited edition GBS Evolution VIIIEV8P06 trouser design is one of only 11 handmade pieces in the world. Of these, just two were created exclusively for the Benelux region and are available at LABELS.

The trousers feature the exclusive “extensionism” tailored elastic drawstring waist design, developed through extensive tailoring research. They are cut from an extraordinary ultrasoft Italian Cariaggi cashmere yarn hyperlux fabric, one of the softest in the world. This fabric was entirely handwoven by Tessitura La Colombina on their legendary 18th-century wooden looms in Badoere di Morgano. It took nearly two days of master craftsmanship to produce enough cloth for a single pair of trousers. 

The fabric was then hand-dyed at the world-famous GBS Superworkrooms in Cavarzere Venezia. This 12-hour process achieved the unique color, patina effects, shaping, drape, and remarkable softness. The waistband lining is made from luxury viscosa jacquard, hand-dyed by Ezio Ghiringhelli in Varese.

The design includes a classic cut with impeccable interior finishing. It features hand-cut front slash and rear besom pockets, Italian luxury satin tape-finished seams, and 2.5 cm seam allowances on both outseams and inseams, allowing alterations of up to a full size larger. The expertly handcrafted elastic waist construction and hand-sewn jacquard weave taped hemlines—requiring over two hours of work—ensure a clean finish, exceptional durability, and tailored elegance. Vintage recycled leather drawstring tab details add the signature “extensionism” motif.

The piece also features a world-leading hand-dyed pure silk label created by Mion SpA in Torreglia. This is the first luxury label to eliminate plastic polyester yarns, dyed for a beautiful color and luster, and attached with pure silk threads. Variations in color and density are intentional and reflect the artisanal process.
